Dear friends! Is anybody out there in the wide world who could solve the audio-sync-problems with the Hauppauge PVR? If yes, what brought you to success?
Greetings and thanx in advance

For me, I solved them using latest drivers and for DVD spec captures use program setting rather than DVD. I still get occasional sync errors on old or poor quality VHS captures but without buying expensive hardware to overcome this I think you would get that problem with any card.

Thank you, q1aqza. Do you think a faster CPU would also solve the problem? I use a Pentium III, 1 GHz. As I saw, you use a faster one...
Greetings, Diogenes -
I doubt it would be your processor speed as the card is not intensive on the processor - mine runs approx 36% when I am recording. What is more important is the data write speed of your hard disk - I use a separate disk for capture than what my OS is running on plus it is a 7200rpm IBM Deskstar running UDMA mode. I'm not too hot on hardware but I have read on other forums that updating BIOS has helped some people - not something to consider lightly though if everything else is running OK.
SHS has a good PVR 250 forum on www.shspvr.com
