I have ripped and encoded my movie, about 2 1/2 hours to a divx avi. I split the finished avi into two parts for storage on two 700meg Cd's. I have .srt and .ssa files for each part edited and ready to be added to the video. I did not realize it but I cannot aplly the subtitles filter in direct stream copy mode. I do not want to compress the files further in adding the subtitles. In full processing mode, is it possible to apply the subtitles without further compression of the video? If not is there a program that can add my subtitles without compression? I wish I kept the VOBs...
Any help would be appriciated!

I dont know what are you planning to do with those divx movies, but since ( i think ) you'll watch them on a computer, than why mess with subs. add a microdvd or bsplayer on the disc and you'll be able to add the desired subs when you watch the movie.
If you have a standalone that supports divx than................. ( givit to me!!!)
