    Hiyall,

1st day attempting to back up DVDs to VCD and I already have to visit the forums! lol

    My prob is this:

I rip the DVD to HDD using Smartripper with basically default settings.
I convert/encode the file using DVDx

Now all appears ok at this point, but then I go to play the file(mpeg), & the audio it picks up is the film audio with the director's commentary included. Obviously I dont want that, I just want the movie audio. What can I do to select the audio track? Is it selcted during the ripping or encoding process?

    Thanks in advance peeps

Just chose the audio track (and maybe subtitles) that you want in the DVDx "Input settings".

A good thing to look for is 6ch versus 2ch sound. Commentary tracks are often 2ch to save some space on the disk.

  3. You have to choose by "Movie" then click on "Stream Processing"...

Usually it is the first two... then uncheck everything...
