  1. Hi, I am able to follow the rules this site provides in making VCD's but when it comes to performing the "buring" option with VCDEasy, I can't do it simply because I can't click on it. I can create a .bin file so I guess I am half way there. I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, but it says NO CDRDAO and also ASPI Seems Valid-No at the bottom of the screen. Also, I have read something about TMPG. Is this a dll thing I need or just another program? I appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks.

  2. hi,
i use fireburner to burn vcdeasy bin/cue with 100% success. open fireburner rightclick ..load tracks from cue... and burn. of course you have to have the full version.
you can also use nero to burn the image. start nero click file...burn image.. load cue sheet. and burn burn burn.

Ít's probably a ASPI issue. Go to Adaptec and install ASPI 4.60 (or use ForceASPI - link here under TOOLS). If your writer isn't too uncommon, CDRDAO will be able to write to it.
If still no luck, you can use any CD writing software that supports cue/bin (or any other format that VCDEasy can create) to finally write the VCD to disc.

CDRDAO requires compatable ASPI drivers to burn the images created with VCDEasy. "ASPI Seems Valid-No" indicates there is a problem with the ASPI drivers. Try the ForceASPI drivers in the tools section this website, this usually that gets it going.

For me the logs in VCDEasy almost always come up with some errors. I don't remember exactly what they are, but after those errors it says something like "usually a sign of using TMPGenc" I ignore these and have never had any problem with the VCDs, CVDs, and SVCDs I have created.

  5. I had similar problems, and because (I guess) of many conflicts with my Adaptec SCSI and Adaptec CD Direct / CD Creator, I have not (yet) managed to get the ASPI issue sorted out (but still trying).

There is an alternative that works for me:
VCDeasy then Daemon Tools then CD Creator (copy CD).

Three weeks ago I did not even suspect one could burn VCD's on one's computer , and now I am a sort of addict, and enjoying my vices. Everything I learned I found on this site, in the Guides, the Forums etc. This is an incredibly helpful resource.

    Good luck.
