Is this weird? Problems with finished DVD

I used DVD Workshop to create a DVD of some Greg The Bunny episodes (yeah quit laughing it was a good show) but anyway....

I burned the Video_ts and Audio_ts folders to a Verbatim General Use DVD-R using EZ CD Creator and I get a "disc error" on my XWave dvd player.

The dvd plays fine in my Pioneer A04 drive.

Burn the same images to a generic DVD-RW and it works find on my DVD player.

I thought Verbatim's are one of the best blank media manufacturers.

am I missing something?

i re-burned the dvd using nero and the guide here with UDF 1.2 and it worked...


does this make sense?
