I was just curious if someone can tell me what is the largest size Divx you can convert to VCD and it still be great quality...

exp... I am trying to rip Band Od Bro.s and in the fight scenes it gets really choppy and sometimes the scene locks up and the sound keeps playing.

Sorry for my stupidity...I'm brand new..Any help would be appreciated

  2. Unfortunately, there isn't really an answer to this. Some people won't mind a 2 hour movie on a VCD, whereas some people will actually find your source as hardly watchable... So you won't get a straight answer on it. Try and see for yourself what you do and don't like.

Those choppy, blocky scenes and the like are typical of low bitrates... VCD's aren't really good. I don't even bother with them.

I know what you mean by that but ..
I guess what i am trying to say is when does the destortion start on the divx file...I have a 400 mb Divx file and it is making that into a 747mb VCD file ... If i watch the DIVX file and then watch the VCD file they are about the same. But i need to make the DXV file biger to get the choppy parts out..

There might not be an answer to this...

    thanks for replying crahak
