  1. I have ripped a SVCD, which when I play using Media Player is running fine.

However, when I burn it using NERO 5.5.4.0. and play in my stand along DVD player the picture jumps.

Please can someone help as I really want to start using SVCD and not VCD's.

    Thanks

  2. what sort of player do you have?
also why dont you just do standard vcd s because svcd xvcd are all crap. you should stick to the standard
if you want it any better quality...buy the proper dvd ...simple
if you stray from the vcd standard that s when you start to get problems , my stand alone dvd player will play anything i throw at it but i still do standard vcd s

  3. Hi!

Use the latest TMPGEnc (12i) and the STANDARD svcd template.
This schould give a good result.
If needed bring doen the video bitrate to max of 2350 en audio to 224kbs.
    Use SVCD in NERO.
If this both isn't good, your DVD player isn't capable of playing standard SVCD's I'm afraid.
