Hi, I tried to make a dvd by putting an mpeg file in toast but I wasted a blank dvd since it turned out to be a vcd. I calle Roxio and they told me that is not how to do it, that I had to make a video_ts folder in order to make a dvd. The thing is I do not know how to do it in both the programs. If any one can help i would be very grateful.

Import your Mpeg 2 file into Dvd Studio Pro. Select Add Track. Drag your .m2v file to the new Track tile. Click on graphical view window. Select startup action (this will be the name of your track tile) select it. Select File from the top of the DVD Sp menu. Select Build Disc. Select drive location you want to store your Audio_TS and Video_TS files. Hit the choose button.

Thanks, i am not sure that the file is an mpeg 2 file. I had an avi file and converted it to mpeg. That mpeg file can be turned into a vcd file through toas..so i do not know if it is mpeg 1 or 2. What is an .m2v file?

Can I use an mpeg 1 file that i use in toast to make a vcd?
