  1. I have been trying to burn a dvd using the following software...

    Either...

Nero / PrassiPrimodvd / Easy CD 5.3 Platinum

However, assuming I'm doing everything right PRE-BURN, the media seems to be disliked by my dvd player. I have never burnt dvd-r before (I am using a panasonic 310 dvd-ram), and having read that cyberhome 528's were ok with dvd-r, i bought 10 bulkpaq generation 4, 2 speed dvd-r. Howver, whenever I use them in my cyberhome dvd player, it just says bad disc. They work ok on my pc, or at least they seem to. Am I doing something obvioulsy wrong, or is the media completely useless?

(Nero gave me errors when recording and Prassi seems to crash... so lately I have tried easy cd... but it still doens't work). AND I have updated the cyberhomes firmware.

    HELP. Thanks in advance,

    Paul

  4. DVD-RAM and DVD-R are two seperate discs! I own a 528 and I don't think they play DVDR's at all.

Sorry m8 but your wrong, The Cyberhome ADL-528 plays DVD-r's no problem because i have backed up over 30 DVD's onto DVDr's using PRASSI PRIMO DVD to burn them.

And they all play fine on My Cyberhome ADL-528.

As for DVD-RAM disc's, i would suggest that you not backup DVD's onto these disc's, instead buy yourself some DVD-r's and then back up your DVD's.

Like some said, the 2 formats are totally different with DVD-r being the most compatible with Stand alone DVD players.

One other thing update your Firmware on your Cyberhome to 10.01.

  6. The DVD-Ram drive burns either dvd-ram or dvd-r. I have been trying to use dvd-r. And it still doesn't work, it just says bad disc on the player. Oh... and I have updated the firmware. Still no luck.
