  1. hi im new here..im also new to these Converting things..
i have videos i want to convert
i got the TMPGEnc Latest Version
i tried looking for the help file...but its not there
so i have VCDHELP.com Forum to fall back on....

I need help on using this Program

First ,i clean my .AVI file from errors such as frames that will stop that can cause lip-sync....and then i used "FX MPEG WRITER" to convert it to Video Bitrate of "1150 kbps,29.97 frames per second, and the frame "352x240 " and of course its in "NTSC"

And then finally, trying to burn it with ROxio VCD Creator,i got an error message saying "System Clock Reference",with a large red "X",i cant do anything, but i searched this forum and found this thread, about sumone wh ohas this trouble as mine, the mod replied saying using TMPGEnc to multiplex my video file and problem solved, but the prob is,i dunno how to use TMPGEnc,i need help, step by step..

    help will be appriciated

  2. I dunno about Roxio but is the mpeg file so big that it would fit on the cd youre trying to burn it without problems? If the size is ok try Nero I use it without problems.

And with TMPG use wizard it helps.

And by the way you dont need to use any divx fix if youre avi is ok!

  3. By the way if you need step by step help then simply go to http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert
and click on How to convert toVCD with TMPGEnc and of course dont forget about the codecses you will need mentioned there.

  4. To multiplex with TMPGEnc start the program up, then in the top left corner select the following

    File --> MPEG Tools

this will take you to where you need to go to multiplex, there are four tabs, you want to use Simple Multiplex, click on the Browse buttons to select the Video and Audio files for it to put together, TMPGEnc will automatically select the correct option from the little drop down menu so dont worry about that

then when the two files are selected, Click the Browse button next to Output (The third box down from the top) and enter the name of what you want the finished file to be called and select where you want it to go.

Finally press Run and it will work its magic

Hope this helps, it can get confusing but help is here

    ciao

And another one blown away by Roxio. Do yourself a favor and dump it.
The following tools I find indespensible:
    VirtualDub (freeware)
    DVD2AVI (freeware)
    VFAPI Reader Codec Reader (freeware)
    avisynth (freeware)
    bbMPEG (freeware)
    VCDEasy (freeware)
Nero Burning Rom (shareware, 30 day trial, $49 U.S. for online purchase)
and last but not least TMPGEnc Plus (15 day trial, $49.95 online purchase and a bargain if you ask me).
This may seem like a lot of tools to master, but if you do your homework and read thru the how-to guides you'll see how each of these complements the other and your results will speak for themselves.
    Warning! I'm baaaaaaaaack
