    I have no trouble if I connect with the (expensive) sound out anologue cable from Apple, however I can not make a connection with my firewire cable, I have all the extensions, I think. Has anybody had the same problem??

    Hi captjo,

    I have the same prob.
    Using iBook 500mz+OSX10.2.
    Tried exporting from iMovie, nothing nada!

    Hi Noodle Stroodle.

    I think I am on the right track, from Imovie you export to camera and quicktime also has an export via firewire, an extra program is needed for that, I am tracking it down.

    Hiya Captjo,
    Finally figured it out!
    In iMovie export your film to camera, having already connected your FireWire cable, set the 890 to cam2 input, hit export then record, easy!
