  1. I have extracted audio, as usual, from an .avi,
    and noticed that there is about a 3 second difference
    between audio and video. Therefore, used Cooledit to
    shrink audio so it matches video...but the final .avi is
    still out of sync.
    Am I missing something here?

    open file in virtual dub, go to audio/full processing mode, then go to audio and conversions, then check 44100, 16 bit, stereo ., high quality then go to file save wav. use the new wav.
