  1. Im trying to convert a movie to svcd and have had no problems following the guides here but when i try to extract audio ac3,wav it gives me an error that reads:
"the requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format.check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format"

the file information of the avi file is as follows
    decompressor:divx4Low-motion
    sampling rate:48000Hz
    Channels:5 {stereo)

what can i do to fix this so i can extract the audio and continue to make my svcd?
    thanks

  2. try extracting the ac3 from the avi by choosing direct stream copy in
virtual dub to wav, then encoding it to a usable vcd format in a program called headac3he. I believe it is in the tools section.

Are you trying to fit your avi--> SVCD on 1 cd? If you are, you probably can't since the Ac3 to Wav conversion makes the Audio a huge file. You'll need to put it onto 2 or 3 cds. Hope this helps!
