  1. Hello, I just wanted to let you know what method I use before I ask my question. I used SmartRipper, then DVD2AVI, TMPGenc, Chapter Xtractor, DVD Maestro, finally Gear Pro to burn. My question is, if I am burning a relatively short DVD, such as Rush Hour 2, or any DVD under 1 45 min, and I don't need subtitles or any other special features, is there a way to see if I have extra room on the DVD-R to bump up the bitrate, and if so, how would I know how much too add to the bitrate? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks alot!

  3. Are you sure? Even if it is about 1hr and 45 min? If this is true, can you please tell me the step by step process, because I thought for all DVD's you must encode them.

  4. well there is one catch. the dvd has to be under 4.7 gigs. if so you run DVD Decrypter. go to mode and click on iso and click on read. it will make a iso image to your hard drive. once done run DVD Decrypter load your iso image and go to mode click on iso and then click on write. now it will burn the image to blank dvd media. perfect copy...

  5. But if it is not under 4.7 GB in DVD Decryptor, then is there any extra space on the DVD-R if I don't want menus and extra's? What I mean is, how can I tell if there is any extra space left on the disc after I have my final project ready to burn? Do you see what I mean?
