Pruple Lines On TMPGENC

I'm encoding .avi to SVCD NTSC. When I go to encode purple lines go across the screen. Will these show up in the movie and if so how do I fix it?

Yes. Try change the directshow priority in tmpgenc and then open the avi and check if you see any purple lines.

I changed it to a 1 and it said the format is unsuported then I changed it to 2 and it said the same thing. I even went up to 5 but no change.
