I capture a DV form Panasonic NVGS5 and I obtain a *.AVI file (720x5... at 25 fps, PAL system).
When I try to make a VCD (using TMPGenc and burning on Nero or doing it all on Űlead VS6) the result on my computer is good but on my 4:3 TV is very bad (I have a standalone Pioneer DV454): I obtain a mosaic-like pattern.
Because I read that SVCD gives better quality I try to SVCD instead of VCD. The quality on my TV gets much better but the image has two black borders (top and bottom) and is distorted. I'm reading in this forum about distorted imagens, resolutions, aspect ratios for source video and for output video, 4:3 full screen, centered screen , 625 lines etc. etc. and I become more confused!!!!
Is there anyone to help me with this problem, I mean:
1- a good VCD quality for my 4:3 TV
or
2- good SVCD quality not distorted
or better
3- good SVCD quality not distorted and without the two black bars
Thank you
