  1. well, i was sooooo glad when i finaly got the dvd-burner i had orderd,
sat down trying to make my self a gooood dvd-movie!

Used the guides here, tmpgenc was easy, got it all to work and made
    a large mpg file (dvd-ntsc).

Well i thougt, i can actually make two movies with good quality into one dvd!
Now the problems started, it was not easy making this spesial thing, all the different programs that where going to make this easy for me didnt work, so finaly i made only one of the movies (reign of fire) into a vob and all that, with no chapters and no menus, got it burned by nero.
the movie started on my dvdplayer, and i thought! YEEEES! i have made my first dvd! and it actually worked!

BUT NO!!!! after almost an hour of self-celebration the movie started to jump back and forth, crashed all down, and didnt work!

But what did i actually do wrong here? why did the movie suddently not work after an whole hour?

i used ; tmpgenc, dvdmaestro and nero 5590!

this is a cracker! or is it?

  2. You didnt necessarily do anything wrong. Have you checked your standalone DVD player for media compatibility on the DVD players list on the left. Many players struggle to read recordable dvd media and for some reason this problem seems to get worse towards the outer edge of the disc (DVD's are burnt from the inner edge outwards). Different brand media may help.
