  1. Hi im taking my old audio tapes and and trying to make them digital. But when i get the result sound is only coming from the left channel and the right channel has no sound. I am connecting my tape player to my comp via the line in on the back of my sound card, but im using the head phones jack on my tape player as my output (since i have no audio output jack). Do any of u guys know why im only gettin sound from 1 channel, could it have to do with the fact that im using the headphones jack and not the line out. Ur help is appreciated. Thanks

BTW (im using Music Match 7.2 as my recording program)

  2. You may want to try playing the tape with it pluged in so that you can here the sound coming out of your speakers. Slowly pull the jack from the sound card but not all the way out....somewhwere in between will give you stereo sound....it's sounds like your 1/8th inch jack is wrong kind but try like i said and you should be fine

Are you ing a stereo cable? the jack (plug) should have 2 black rings on them. And is your player stereo?
May the force be with you.

  4. you should try using a differnet player because i am almost postive that it is your tape player and the fact that you are using your head phone jack as your audio out. it could be just as simple as your setting on musicmatch is missed up.....

  5. Ya i think thats it the, cable isnt stereo, it only has one black ring on it. The settings in music match are fine and the tape player is stereo. I will go out and get a stereo cable and see if it works, thanks for ur help.
