Hi all,
New here, can anyone answer this question? Recently got a Divx movie, size is movie widescreen 2.35:1 (608x256), I've tried several different tests to output a good mpg from TMPGenc but it always cuts the sides off the movie when played in my standalone DVD player (I have a widescreen TV - Pal)
I really want to sort this problem as it occurs on all movie widescreen Divx files I get.
Any help would be most appreciated. :P

In Mpeg setting adjust the "source aspect ratio" to 16:9 and the "video arrange method" to full screen - keep aspect ratio. You might try leaving the "source aspect ratio" to 1:1 vga. see what results you get with this.

Thanxs for the help, I have managed to get a film out that fitted on the screen but I had to change the video arrange method to centre - custom size then change the size to 304 x 240 pixels. This seems to have done the trick, I now have a 16:9 widescreen movie in fullscreen without losing the sides.
