    I'm in the process of replacing my Macrovision free Apex 600A and interested in getting a progressive scan that can be easily hacked to make Macrovision and Region free like the Apex. Could someone recommend a brand and model number?

    On NTSC system, the progressive video is on the three RCA connectors for component video signal. Even it is macrovision free, you still can't record itith VCR.

    Unless, you are having trouble with projector, then you need to pick a projector that is immune to it.
