  1. Hi, I'm confused

I have a vcd that will only play in windvd4 player. It is a music concert video that has been copied to a cdr. I have tried it in all the players I have e.g. PowerDVD(latest version) Windows media player 7, RealOne, QuickTime, Creative Playcentre, Musicmatch Jukebox. All of these players give a message along the lines of 'unrecognized file format'. I have downloaded a trial version of WinDVD 4 and the vcd works perfectly, the only trouble is it only allows 5mins playback at a time (trial version). As this is the only VCD I have encountered that won't play on my other players I don't really want to shell out on the full version of Windvd4.

Is there anything I can download or plug-in that will solve this compatibility problem?

I am using the the latest drivers, directx 8 etc. Nero allows me to copy the disk using 'disk copy' but wont allow me to open the file and drag & drop etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Ummm...No I'm not sure! I have checked the file properties but it doesn't show what format it is. How do I find out which format it is?
The file name is Avseq.01.dat if that helps.

    Thanks
