hey there..
I found a link a while ago.. on a forum.. I'm pretty sure it was VCDHelp, basically for a new util that was in development, that allows you to use your CamCorder as a FireWire storage device on a standard miniDV Tape.
Seriously.. using DV Tape as a storage device is so cool, and I wonder why not many companies have taken advantage of that (besides the capitalist reasons) .. a Camcorder is essentially storing Data on the DV Tape, and the data essentially is just 1's and 0's, a DV Tape for a cheap cheap price is like $5 or so, and thats at least 12 GB of storage space.
I didnt save the link to it, and I'm lost.. I've been scouring the net for 6 hours.. and I couldnt find it *sigh*
anyone seen the same link ? or even have the link there?? I remember something about that program being only compatible with NTSC based DV cameras, as the programmer didnt have a PAL camera handy to test it on
your reply would be greatly appreciated.. (before I pull all my hair out)
