  1. Gday all.

Is it possible to convert frame rates because I have a movie with 23.967 frames per second which is NTSC, and to watch it on my PAL TV I need to be able to convert it.

When I burn it to VCD in the NTSC version. It is extremely jumpy and I can't watch it.

If anyone has any alternatives, that would also help please tell me!

    Thankz

What happens when you put it into TMPGEnc, select a PAL template, and try to convert it to a PAL MPEG file that way?
    Hello.

  3. When I try to convert it in TMPG into PAL, it stutters a lot and the quality gets worse. Are there any ways around this?

  4. The source is 23.97 Progressive (I take that it is)

Should not be hard to convert to 25 frames (50 fields interlaced)

I have never seen a 24:1 Pulldown option in TMPGENC though.

The way PAL TV stations do it, is that they play back the 23.97 source at
25 frames/seconds and increace the audio speed by 4%.

In USA they spread 24 frames over 60fields (3:2 pulldown)
and is called telecine (the DVD player do it during playback)

Read about changing audio pitch here:

I wounder if that makes American sounds like they talk like girls?
a 4% change should affect the audio a little i think..................
Maybe PAL countries never really heard Stalones real darker voice?
