For a couple months I've been capturing with an ATI Radeon and virtualdub to a huffyvu, then clipping with vdub and converting to a XVCD mpeg file with TMPGenc. It's gone flawlessly.
However, I just switched from cable to DirecTV and the exact same process now gives me timesync errors on the vcd. It will play fine for a bit, and then the video will jump ahead and finally the video will slowdown while the audio catches up. It does this half a dozen times in an hour long show and pretty much makes it unwatchable.
Is there any solution?

Just tried de-muxxing (with TMPG) and then muxxing back together with BBmpeg, and it's even worse. The entire thing is out of sync now.
