I have two mpg files i want to add to a vcd and use a menu.
I had some problems with NERO though...the disc just wouldnt
run.. so i tried NTI Cd Maker and it does work fine...
However, i have a really annoying problem now and i cant suss
out why its doing it. Everytime i use a background image it
always displays it in a REALLY ugly format. Low res would
describe it part of the way but basically the whole pics messed
up. Writing is not legible and colours etc just look messy![]()
Is this a stand-alone player prob (using a toshiba drive for vcd
because my sony s300 doesnt like cdr) or am i doing something
wrong?
Is there anyone out there that has used hi-res pics on NTI?
Also, does the picture have to be a certain size/colour depth?
I have tried reducing the picture but didnt make that much difference
Many thanks in advance

Try VCD easy for making svcds
It has all the options, including menus ( mpeg stills)
For PAL small images ( 480*576) the best source is 675*506
For PAl large images (704*576) the best source is 676*506
For NTSC small images (480*480) the best source is 563*422
For NTSC large images (704*480) the best source is 564*422
watch out for using the large images cause sometimes they dont fit on the TV ( or my standalone doesn't accept them)
