  1. Right!

    TMPGEnc crashes whenever i quarantine an infected file called SysMap.exe. Norton reckons it is a Backdoor.Trojan. I have freed the file and used TMPGEnc to encode a file and it works fine, but as soon as i move it TMPGEnc crashes!

    Ive tried different avi files aswell so it isnt the file im encoding that causes the problem!

    the file is in the c:\windows\system folder (WinME). Does anybody know if TMPGEnc actually uses this file?

    This is a new one on me so help is appreciated!

  2. I would quarantine then delete the file in Norton. Then I would uninstall TMPGEnc and then download a new version off the internet.

  3. I tried that several times and it still crashes! ive uninstalled all the codecs and appz that i use in conjunction with TMPGEnc and it still crashes!

  4. Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling Norton Antivirus?
