Hmmmmmm. I can't help, but I want to add to the inquiry. After I capture an AVI with my AIW Radeon, I use TMPGEnc 12i (or older) to convert it to SVCD NTSC. Everything looks fine, but 2 minutes ± into the resulting mpg file, the audio cuts out. Just goes silent for the rest of the file. It just awful. It takes so long to make and they don't work.
I checked the original AVI to make sure it had the audio all the way through, and it does. So the TMPGEnc seems to be at fault. Anyone know why?

I can help you both! I had the same issue, the original AVI was fine, but the encoded MPEG's audio (From TMPGenc) quit after one minute. Check out the "How To" Convert on the left of this site. It states if there are audio troubles, convert the audio file to WAV (only takes about a minute per 10 minute AVI), using the freeware VirtualDub. Then, in TMPGenc, browse to add AVI video file and the audio WAV file, and start encoding. It works!

Hey, cool! Thanks for the tip, man. I've been really "lamed out" by the whole experience, and now you've "un-lamed me out". I need better metaphors.
