Hi all,
I have encoded over 50 movies now in various formats, but this problem is new to me.
I wanted to encode LotR-The Fellowship of the Ring SEE (PAL RC 2) to SVCD. The first disk had no problems at all, but during the encode of the secong disk CCE just stoped encoding. CCE dind't crash nor was my hdd full.
I used SmartRipper->DVD2AVI->AviUtil->VFAPIConv->CCE.
So my question is now, if anyone knows this problem and has a solution for it.
Thanks in advance,
Carnivora.

I just completed a backup of my LOTR DVD (mine is region 1, NTSC) with DVD2SVCD and everything worked great. Give this software a try:

Do a search for a member named "baker". He has a good visual guide -

I have had this happen before on a title (don't remember which) after 100 successes with CCE. I tried reripping, I tried 3 different computers with different OS, I tried DVD2SVCD, I tried manually frameserving with DVD2AVI and Avisynth, nothing worked! CCE kept stopping prematurely. I just shrugged my shoulders and moved on. Its never happened since.
