  1. I have been trying to convert some vcds to dvd and I have been having problems. Here are my current specs
    DVR-104 (firmware 1.31)
    1ghz processor
    Nero (firmware 5.5.9.17)
    Memorex DVD-RW (blank)

I tried using the vcd to dvd guide on this site but I can't get it to work.

I have converted to mpg, demuxed and converted the audio to 48hz, and then tried to burn in nero. The video file is in .mv1 and the audio is in .mpa format. Nero gives me an error message of "dvd-video compliance test failed compatability test this might not be playable in dvd players" or som bull like that. Am I just totall missing a conversion in here somewhere. The guide said I could burn the .mv1 file to dvd.

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

  2. sometimes it gives that error.. Try burning to a rewritable if your not sure to see if it will work. THat way you don't lose a cd.. I've burned many non compliant videocds and it still works fine so it may work for you..

  3. is it me or are you missing out on the most important step here? to make a dvd you need to author these files in a dvd authoring program. then copy the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders to a dvd udf datacd in nero. then burn. then play.
