Error when burning DVD with Ulead DVD Workshop

At the last seconds of burning my DVD, I got an error that read:
Generic error from CD/DVD recording software. Please make sure the device is ready and try again.
Error: TAO-240-SPTI-00-02-05-72-03

Can anyone tell me why this happened and what I can do to fix it. Thanks.

I get the exact same problem when I use ULEAD DVD Movie Factory. I hope someone can solve our problem.

A couple of things to try:

Make sure that Autoinsert Notification is turned off for the drive.
There are times when the burner starts to write the leadout, the drive will attempt to read the media if Autoinsert is ON.

Another fix that often works is to disable DMA on the drive and set the mode to PIO.
This may limit the max burning speed depending on your computer confguration but can save a lot of trashed media.

As always be sure that no TSRs are running on your system while burning and have the screen saver disabled.
