  1. Hi I am using tmpgenc version 2.59. When I try to convert a avi. movie it's in 2 parts I keep getting an error message it's a red x and say the location of the file.avi cannot be opened or unsupported...What can i do? I can play the avi fine on MS media player or Divx. please help this is not the first time This has happened

    If you are using DVD2AVI to produce your AVI file then you need to have the DVD2AVI.vfp in the same folder as TMPGEnc.

    In Tmpeg's Enviramental settings increase the Direct Show to a value of 4,I believe the default is zero This solved my problem opening avi's.

  4. Hi I looked in the envirormental setting I could not find anything where i could change it................do you know where it's @ in there

  5. Hi again I found where the direct show is and i right clicked on it to change it. all it will do is let me choose go to a higher setting which only takes it to 1. How can i take it higher ?

    Click Option-Enviramental Settings-Vfapi Plugin,right click the Direct Show Multimedia File Reader. Each time you click on "highest" it should increase by one.
