want to delete credits with IFOedit w/o reencode; possible?

i have ripped a dvd and the movie only is ~5.2gb. i used IFOedit to get the movie only, 2-channel sound, and now the entire movie size is 4.9gb.

there are about 15 min of credits that i could get rid of. i would like to do this with IFOedit so that i don't have to demux, cut, re-encode, then remux. (i have an older computer, so that entire process would take a while => looking for the quick fix )

does anyone know how to do this? if so, could you please upgrade my knowledge and enlighten me. thanks in advance for any help available.

4.9GB down to 4.37GB I do not think is gone happend with
just deleting the endcredit.

What is in the name of the movie?, I may had worked on it.

If the PCG_1 is split up in alot of VOB_IDs, try to unselect the last one
when you do the stripping.

But I do not think you can get rid of over 500mb this way.

If you want to get rid of stuff at the end (or start) use the Split to 2 DVD option.

Select the split point at the chapter were the credits start

i'll give that split DVD a try and let you know how it turns out. the movie is LOTR.

I answered this question in another post, if its LOTR extended Disk, then its a bit more envolved than a simple stream rip. First of all you have to just keep the AC3 2 track stereo track, forget the 5.1 sound. Second, you have to cut the credits off the end of the second disk, then with this free room you can cut the end of disk 1 and move it to the beginning of disk 2, then reauthor the second disk to merge the vobs. I used vStrip to cut up the last chapt of disk1 at 115Mb then move the last 115Mb VOB chunk to disk2. Its a pain, but can be done without reEncoding. Have fun.
