i know this is possible, but does anyone know how i can import custom buttons (or what would be good to make them psd files??) into dvd maestro. i tried a few things but no matter what i do it takes whatever pic/file and resiszes it to fit the whole menu screen

you make the whole menu in photoshop or even in powerpoint works ... the custom buttons are done there..

One thing I do with the menus and subpictures that I create, is to put single pixel dots at the corners (ie, [0,0], [720,0], [0,480], 720,480]). That way, my media imports are always 720x480 and don't get scaled or placed other that where I want them to go.
I had a problem with my subpictures not ending up in the proper place without this trick (and they NEED to be underneath the buttons, to work properly).
