I often download mpeg files only to find that they contain errors, perhaps one or many corrupted frames.
Is there a program/utility that will scan through an mpeg file and report the position of any corrupted frames (much the same as DivFix does for .avi files)?
If I knew the position of the errors I could then chop the file just before the corrupt section, and restart the download from that point, rather than having to download the whole file again.
Thanks for your advice![]()

Try VCDGEAR...
Set it for Mpeg > Mpeg and check the "fix mpeg" box.
