  1. OK. I've captured via my ATI AIW 8500 direct to AVI format (good mode) from my Sat dish. (Scooby Doo). The file plays fine. it is .avi at about 4GB.

Now I used TMPENC to recode to MPG2 for DVD. Fine. Now it is 4.2GB. That plays fine in MMC or wherever.
Now when I load that file into ULEAD DVD Factory it only shows up as a 103 second MPG. The size of the file is still 4.2GB. Also in the edit clip window or preview window it only plays 103 seconds. This is a full 90 minute movie.

Perhaps there is something in the headers that is making ULEAD think this is a small file when its not?

Any ideas? I already deleted the converted MPG and used TMPGENC again to see if there was a glitch in the process but it is the same.

Is this a problem with DVD Factory or TMPGENC settings?

Please note I've had success with DVD Factory with many other files. This is the only time I've tried it with a TMPGENC converted file.

    Thanks.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  2. I don't know exactly why UDMF does this, but it happened to me also with a file over 4GB in size. I re-ran it through TMPENC at a slightly lower bitrate to get the file size under 4GB, then it worked fine.

  3. Thanks Hoff608.
That did it. I dont know why either.
    Perhaps it needs the buffer.
