interacive panoramic on DVD

I'm trying to figure out a way to make an interactive panoramic on a DVD that would allow a person to "look around" a room. If I create a 360 degree image, is there a way first show only a small area of it, and then allow the user to scroll around it?

Or if anyone has any other solutions to this need, that would be great!

Using a bunch of DVD stills and using the standard navigation buttons you should be able to do quite a bit. It won't be 100% smooth unless you also encode transitions between evey still and every other still.

Authoring will be a PITA, but it should be possible.
