XVID problems

I just downloaded Divine Secrets of Ya-Ya Sisterhood. It is encoded with XViD. I am unable to play it in DivxPlayer but it will play in WMA and Winamp3. I have all the necessary Codecs installed. I have NIMO build 8. Any suggestions?

Also, when I play this movie in Winamp3 the color is off? The other movies that i play in it are fine...

The only suggestion I've got would be to redownload the latest binary of the Xvid codec. It's constantly under development and this can lead to some incompatabilities with prior versions. You can find it here: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html
You can use either Nic's or Koepi's build since both pretty much function the same way.

Thanks for the suggestion, still no luck, i'm fine using winamp3, i just need to somehow fix the color...

The actors and actresses' skin are a bluish/purple

I was able to fix it, I used Nic's AviC FourCC Changer and changed it to DIVX and it plays in Divxplayer and the colors are correct!

I downloaded a xvid codec from Kazaa, before i opened it i ran a virus scan, it was clear so i installed it. Every thing was fine and the Xvids played on WMP no problem. I then ran a weekly update of my virus checker and a virus showed up. According to the program it came from the Kazza xvid codec. I've since cleaned it and download the codec advised by kayfam, so far everythings fine. Good stuff........
