I just reencoded Attack of the Clones main VOBS to fit on "one" DVD-R. I used CCE 2.5 ONE PASS VBR. The problem I have is when I import the ,AC3 file, I get an error from Maestro which says, CANNOT LOCATE A FRAME SYNC WORD AT AN EXPECTED BYTE OFFSET. DATE MIGHT BE CORRUPTED. ERROR CODE (OXC1070042) The "pulldown MPV" file imported with no problems. I have imported other movies .AC3 file with no problems. Can anyone tell me what may of caused this and how I can fix it? It seems like if it isn't one thing, it is another...Very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

I just had the same error when trying to compile "In the Bedroom."
First time this has happened, out of 30 or so movies I've copied.
What went wrong? -

Each time I have done that it has worked fine, now all of a sudden with Attack of the clones, there is a problem. I deleted all of the files, and reencoded the movie again, and once again, I still couldn't import the .AC3 file. When you say to use Smartripper to rip the .AC3 track, how can I do that? I have only used it to rip certain Vobs or the Entire Movie as a "back-up." How can I tell what to rip, to just rip the .AC3 track? thanks again in advance

Adder, once I enable stream processing, how will I know how to select the audio track? For example, the movie that has been giving me the problems importing the .AC3 file into Maestro is '"attack of the clones" There are a ton of Vob files on that disk, and it appears that VOB 5 IS THE Main movie set. So I encoded those by using DVD2SVCD and selecting The .IFO file that corresponds to those Vobs. I am wondering if I selected the wrong Vob set, but I don't think so. Anyway, how would I know where the audio file is on a disk before I rip it? Because there are .IFO, VOB, and BUP files. Are you saying that I should just rip the entire movie using the "back-up" option of Smart ripper, and also enable the stream processing, and when it is done, I will have an .AC3 file? I once again appreciate your help. I have never done any of these methods, so I am just a little confused in exactly how you are telling me to rip it. Thanks

you can also open the main movie ifo with ifoedit and look which audio track is the right one... the code 0x80 0x81 etc

@ Adder, I guess i'm gonna have to send you a paycheck for all of your help..lol.....thanks again! I do have one last question regarding this....I wish I was at home to try it out now..but I will have to wait til after work. My question though is 1) what method of Smartripper do I use? the Back-up method, the File Method, or the Movie method? 2) After I use this method and do stream processing, will the output just be a .AC3 track, or will it rip the Movie files again as well? 3) last but not least...will I have any effect on the Video I am encoding for attack of the clones through CCE? I mean, I will be encoding the video through DVD2SVCD, but the audio will be stripped through smartripper....once it's done, you are saying that I can just add my .MPV file I get from DVD2SVCD after encoding with CCE, and then go to the stripped .AC3 from Smartripper, and add them both into MAESTRO? And hopefully they will work? Hopefully this will be the last question regarding this post I will have. Thanks again Adder!

3.) yes you can just add the audiotrack in the maestro with you dvd2svcd->CCE->mpv-file
it really dosent matter what encoder or method you use in video... and what type of method you use rip the audio...
