i have the following specifications
intell processor 1.5 g
gigabyte motherboard
ati vivo radeon 8500dv
40 giga western hd
windows xp proffesional
when i start my capture program what ever it is (virtual vcr or avi-io or power director) i find the following problems
1- the color is black and white.. no color of the video screen
2- the lower part of the image in the video screen is cuted and appears in the upper part of the video screen as a horizontal band
akk these problems appears before ..during and after capture... pls help..
what i can do... thanks...sam

i have the same problem with my aiw (and with my wife' sister 9000 vivo, but here no solution ...).
what i do is: first start the tv app from ati mmc, close, then start the capture program (virtualdub for me).
strange thing but it works. -
I wish I would have seen this post 2 months ago.
I've had similar problems with my AIWs. For some reason, using other apps that involve sound/video BEFORE loading the capture program clear up the issue. I came to the same conclusion earlier today.
