  1. sounds like crickets in the backgeound. i made a non standard vcd from a divx. the audio was encoded @192.i also tested other settings. i stripped the audio with virtual dub and used the toolame encoder with tmpge and tried it with out it too, but it is still shitty. is there any explanations pleeezzz thx

    how does it sound before conversion and what format is the audio in in the origanal?

  3. it was fine before, compressed with fraun sumthin or other. ANyways i tried all kinds of different setting so the last time i stripped the audio and left the sampling rate alone @ 48000Hz and went ahead and encoded the movie. It sounds fine now on my stereo. But before when i tried evrything i had converted the audio to 44100hz and everything i tried sounded awful. I was under the impression you had to have the audio set to 44100 for vcd, does that apply to xvcd also? Cause i encoded it and tested it on my dvd player and sounds great.i dunno.thx for your help
