  1. Hi, I'm burning to ISO/UDF, what which ISO mode do I have to use to be compatible with DVD-ROM and with stand alone DVD players???
By mistake the program changes its setting every time. I use NERO.
Does it make any difference if I choose ISO mode 1 or ISO mode 2??
    thanks jacob.

I just read the dvd burning guide and it says to use ISO Mode 1.02. So probably you should burn in mode 1 to be compatible with dvdplayers. Take a look at the guide here http://www.vcdhelp.com/nerodvd.htm

We are talking two different things here...

DVD's should ALWAYS be written mode 1, mode 2 uses a slightly longer sector size ( with reduce data checking ) that is only currently appropritate for CD-R type media ( VCD, SVCD, CDDA, ... ).

1.02 is the specification number for the UDF filesystem that is used for DVD-V discs. Their are two formats that are commonly availible 1.02 and 1.05. Unles you want to have compatibility problems ALWAYS USE 1.02

    Summary

DVD-Video is ALWAYS mode 1 and UDF 1.02
