  1. If I successfully create a DVD using one of the many decryption methods identified on this site, can I simply do a “DVDCopy” to make another copy or do I have to go through this entire ripping and ReMpeg’ing process all over again? And if not, why not? Thanks.

If you make a backup copy of a dvd onto a dvdr/rw then you should just be able to do a straight copy of that backup. it is not encrypted like the original.

  3. Does this mean that a ripped movie on my hard drive that is 4.3GB or less can be burned directly to a DVD now?

    simple answer - yes

long answer - you can burn it to a dvdr/rw disc but its not a simple drag & drop of your vob files. you have to author the dvd properly by using a dvd authoring program such as dvd maestro or lots of others in the tools section. then you must have burning software that suports dvd burns like gearpro dvd or others listed in the tools section also.

here is a simple guide http://digital-forums.com/dvd2dvdr/

  5. even better if you have already ripped a dvd as files, and then are 4.3 and under you can burn the VIDEO_TS folder onto you dvd+-R/RW, straight 1:1 copy you do not need to author a damn thing.
Proggies you will need for successfull dvd burning. You can also make 1:1 copies with the dvdecryptors image option
    dvdecrypter
    ifoedit
burn software ie. pick up the newest nero or recordnow max
