  2. unfortunately i can't help but i have the same problem with spiderman, it encodes fine but when i go to burn it, it says it is not a valid mpeg file.
I have tried everyway i can think of to encode it, even did a divx, then to mpeg and still the same problem, though it was a great looking divx!

Here is how to do Spiderman:

    1. Smartripper or DVD Decrytper
    2. IfoEdit - VOB EXTRAS to strip off everything except ENGLISH and Dolby Audio.
    3. Exit IfoEdit
    4. IfoEdit and GET VTS_SECTOR to align everything.
    5. burn NERO

There are plenty of GUIDES on this site to give the details.

Spider-Man starts off at 5.5GB's. After doing the above process you end up with 4.3GB's which fits on 1 DVDr. I have done this!

I just got done backing up Spiderman (NTSC, Widescreen) using the method described by joepic. I stripped everything except 6-ch english audio and main movie. It took up every last bit on the disc, but it fit. No transcoding necessary.
