Ok can anybody tell me why my wav file that I have extracted from my capture avi file lost like 5 min. when I encode it into ac3.???? I used ATI AIW 8500 to cap with VirtualDub @ 720*480, huffuv, audio is cd quality which is 44. "I tried 48khz but after cap. VirtualDub said that some of the audio is lost during cap." So before I use SoftEncode to encode my wav to ac3. I check the length of my wav, it's 1hour. After encoded w/ SoftEncode my ac3 file is 55 min. lost 5 mins for no reason Why ???? Is it because my wav file is @ 44khz and I try to encode it into 48khz for DVD compliant ??? SotfEncode settings are: 2.0 L,R,LFE and 384kbs @ 48khz....
P.S. If it's true that because my wav is @ 44khz and I tried to encode it @ 48khz. So when I set VirtualDub to capture @ 48khz. And I get that error saying "some audio are lost during the capture"..So is OK to use that AVI file ? Can I just extract the wav file out of the avi that was cap. @ 48khz and encode it into ac3 @ 48khz ??? So that I would be loosing like 5 minutes of my moive ?????
