Has anyone been able to rip/strip this and fit it on "1" DVD-R without re-encoding?

It don't look like it
even after stripping, I still had nearer 5Gb of files
Encoded it just now using CCE method, just over 1hr or so it took -
2:25 i dont think so, are you kidding?

Got whole DVD down to 4.32GB which includes everything on original DVD
CCE is a great program as you can define which parts u want a higher bitrate if neccessary, it's fast, and I agree quality is great also!
