Hi.
I live in london, so my TV is a European model. It's an LG Flatron RE-32FZ10PX.
I've downloaded an Amercian episode which is encoded as 352x240@30 frames a sec.
The DVD plays it fine, good picture, good sound, except for the jerky motion.
It looks like the DVD is playing 25(PAL) frames out of the 30 frames a second.
The mpeg plays perfectly on my PC. I have my DVD connected to my TV via the Euro Scart.
I've tried both NTSC and PAL-60 output options on my DVD, and the result is the same
Please help, coz this is really frustrating.![]()

Lots of views but no replies.
Any help would do, no matter how small.
Even far out theories. -
I have no idea, but I have a similar problem. Maybe something to do with our players vs endoding. I dunno.

I've contacted Samsung technical support, and they told me that the S224 does not fully support NTSC.
"If it is only the NTSC format that you are having trouble with is you should check
that you have quasi pal selected in the DVD set up.
This DVD player does not have the feature of playing full NTSC
formatted Discs"
I've tried both NTSC and PAL-60 in the video options. I still have the problem.
I've decided to return the DVD today and get a Sharp DV740H. It's £30 more expensive but has a whole lot more features and can play NTSC and PAL.
