Didn't see a forum specific for this so I figured I'd try here.
I recently purchased a couple CD's that came with extra DVD's and would like to rip the Audio files off of the DVD's onto my HD and convert them into an mp3 format and eventually throw them on my iPod.
Only problem is I haven't the slightest clue where to start when ripping DVD audio and converting it into an mp3 format (I assume I'll need to do this). I know I could go in using Line In on my soundcard but I'd have to buy some cables and I'd rather do it this way to save a couple bucks.
Any help?

Okay, I ripped the DVD to HD and it's in .vob form. I tried using DVD2AVI to get the audio into .mp3 form but apparently the version of DVD2AVI that I have doesn't have the same options.
I don't have the "MP3 Compress" option when I pull down that menu (nor the Extract DTS, but that's moot because I don't need it).
Anyone able to help now possibly? -
Just follow the first two steps of the How-To Guides. After that you should have a .wav file of the DVD. Just convert the .wav to .mp3.
