anybody have any experience with this brand? do they usually make coasters, or are they good media?

I've never heard of "Optimum" brand media, but just the name alone makes me think it's yet another generic brand. I think most of the generic stuff right now is coming from CMC, which is not a very good manufacturer. It's probably acceptable (you can burn a data CD just fine), but not good (VCD/SVCD may or may not work well and don't expect any of them to work for more than 5 years or so).
If it's marked as made in Japan, it's probably good. If it's made in Taiwan, it's probably acceptable. If it's made somewhere else, it's probably bad. Most of the decent media comes out of Japan and Taiwan. -
thanks. i got a 100 of them from staples for Free after the mail in rebate. after i use a couple i give my thoughts.

Can you tell which manufacturere makes optimum cdrs? COuld you check with a program called cdrid or any software that cheks the cd manufactureer?
