  1. Guys really need help converting a 1.5g mpeg down to size??
    i capture a tv show and i had all the settings wrong
    a 1/2 hour tv programme file that is 1.5g
    i want to make a vcd from it, but i cannot seem to convert the file with tmpgeit just converts to a standard vcd mpeg file which is agian 1.5gig
    i also tried to convert it with nero but the speach is all out

    wondered if it is poss to convert it to a standard vcd file size and the reburn?

    Kel,

    If TMPGenc can open it you and you're sure you're using a VCD template then you should be ending up with a file size of about 300mg for that 1/2 hour program.

    I'd double check your template and make sure you're using a VCD template.

  3. the settings i used were mpeg 1 720 x 480
    video brite 9513
    audio 224

    normally when i capture i can re-encode with tmpge
    as i said this time the mpeg is 1.5 gig which has never happened before.
    i have tried to re -encode with dvd2Avi but i wont load up correctly

    That bitrate (9513) is the main problem. Try lowering the bitrate to 4500 and your file should be somewhere in the 700-800 range, which is burnable.

    I use 7500 bitrate.
    I can convert easily with TMPGenc after.
    VCD or SVCD

  7. i normally use lower settings but for some reason the settings went all to ****, the mpeg is only 35 mins long
