  1. I am using OSX 10.2 and whenever I drag my m2v file ontop of Mpeg Append (Trial Version) it does nothing. The program won't load at all. I have tried it on OS9, and it does open, but the program fails when an m2v file is open, and has never been able to fix the m2v files for import into DVDSP. Is there something else on the Mac platform that will do the same thing. This program just doesn't cut it.

  2. Are you using the same version for both OS9 and OS X? There are two different versions for each OS. I'm not familiar with the OS9 version, but I have used the OS X version and it works fine for me. Did you register the trial version? Maybe your 7 day trial has expired? You have to register the trial version so you can get the code that allows the program to function for the free 7 day trial persiod. You just run the program as normal to start the registration process or just enter the serial number if you already registered. After that you just drop your mpeg2 files on it and a box should pop up asking you where to save the file.

    Here's the OS X version: http://homepage.mac.com/DVD_SP_Helper/Commerical/MAOSuX.html

Just use the Bits CLI application to fix it. Simple and free. It's on Makira's site. Does anyone have a link? I don't know where it is since RipDifferent has dissappeared.

  4. Thanks for the reply guys.

I am using the OSX version. Running it on OS 10.2, the problem is how do you register it since when I click on the Mpeg Append, the program does nothing. It will not start up for some reason. It just flashes for 1 sec when I click on the Icon.
I am wondering if the program needs some files installed on my system for it to work. I also tried it on Mac OS 10.1 on another hard drive and the same thing happens. Does it need classic to run or does it run native in OSX? Classic doesn't load on both my systems and was wondering if that is the problem.

  5. The OS X version is native to OS X. It doesn't use classic. That's strange that you don't get a registration window when you click on it. Download it from the link I posted and reinstall. See if that helps. MPEGAppend is strictly a drop app. If you just click on it, it should bring up the registration window. After you register it for the free 7 day trial (using the code the company provides you via email) you just drop your mpeg2 files on it.

  6. I have downloaded the MacOSX version 10 times and it still does the same thing. Unstuff it to my Desktop. Click on APPEND and nothing happens. Won't open the app. Does anyone have a link for BIT CLI. I think I will give that a try. Thanks

Okay, here is the Bits CLI:

Forget about MpegAppend. This does the job with less fuss.

  8. Thanks for the link. I have no clue as to how to use this program Bits CLI, and the files that it comes with. There is no readme file with it.

well the problem with bits is that its DIRT slow.. i dont really ever use it or mpegappend, but from my experiences if i had a choice (even tho im ardently opposed to overpriced software that has a free counterpart that can do its job just as well) but unfortunately bits is ridiculously slow, so if i actually decided i really NEEDED either one i'd actually probably go with mpeg append (From previous experiences) unfortunately i've never used the X version (since they require too much money for it) but from using the 9 version it seems rather promising (not nearly worth 50$ tho)
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

  10. For those that prefer point and click, BITS is included in MoreMissingTools.
